Quiche with Hailey

Other Spices Needed
Prep time: 10min. Cooking time 40min. serves: 5 to 6 people
for appetizer
Ingredients:
1/3 cup of Hailey Torshi Salsa
6 large eggs
6 oz smoked sausage or ground
pork or ground beef or ground turkey (the choice is yours)
2/3 cup half and
half
1 cup of shredded cheese (mild cheddar cheese, Italian, Colby or
Monterey Jack) (the choice is yours).
Salt to taste: about 1/2 to 3/4 of
teaspoon should be sufficient.
Use a pinch of dried or fresh parsley or
cilantro for garnishment.
1 Pie crust (Homemade or pie crust mix).
1 deep
dish pie pan 9" is an ideal size.
Directions:
Pre heat the oven to 375F
Put pie crust in pie pan.
Slice and saute the
smoked sausage and set aside! If beef or pork is being used, sauté the meat and
drain the excess oil and set aside! For turkey add a little oil such as olive or
good canola so the turkey doesn’t burn! (Turkey is dry and has no fat content)
Mix Salsa, eggs, cheese, half and half and salt in a blender and blend until
fluffy!
Mix in meat and pour into pie pan, sprinkle some dried or fresh
parcely or cilantro for added taste and garnishment! Place in the center of the
oven at 375F and bake for about 35 to 40 min. or until the quiche has a nice
golden crust on top!
Remove from the oven, let the quiche rest for about 5 to
7 min. cut, serve and enjoy!
